Wouter Witzel, the company who design the very first vulcanized butterfly valve, have recently implemented modifications to the complete range of their existing and extended Eurovalve series and in doing so have applied the ongoing developments and improvements in design, materials and production methods for rubber lined butterfly valves. With their new EV series they will be able to comply to the latest international valve requirements and further reduce the total cost of ownership.
Features Include:
• ISO 5211 top flange.
• Anti-blowout shaft.
• Hexagon disc-shaft connection.
• Integrated bearing, allowing ultra-high number of operations.
• Heavy duty rubber lined, vulcanized to the body: vacuum proof, reliable and low operation torque, suitable for high frequency of operation.
The unique selling points of the re-designed EV series are:
• Compliant to the latest international standards, including actuator connection.
• Pin-less shaft-to-disc connection for increased service reliability having fewer valve parts in contact with the medium.
• Re-engineered anti blow-out shaft for increased safety.
• Re-engineered disc sealing profile and rubber thickness resulting in lower and even more reliable operating torques.
• Wafer and semi-lug type in sizes DN40 (1.1/2”) to DN300 (12”) are combined in 1 body type and can be used for mounting to PN6/10/16 and ANSI Class 150 flanges as standard.
• Standard nameplate showing the marking and serial number.
Other aspects of the rubber lined EV series butterfly valves are:
• Improved sealing, lower torque.
• Easy installation (integrated flange gasket).
• Bi-directional tight shut off.
• Many trim options, including Super Duplex and Hastelloy-C.
• Several actuation options.
• Suitable for vacuum applications and control duty.
