The plant expansion was required to increase the customers manufacturing capability. It involved the supply of 30 x DN200 and 15 x DN300 concentric rubber lined butterfly valves with Flucast AB/E (bonded) seat and peak coated disc supplied by LK Valves & Controls.

Each valve was fitted with an IA motion single acting pneumatic cylinder, valve control monitor, pilot operated spring return solenoid valve, proximity sensors and local position indication.

Prior to the contract being awarded a sample valve was placed on trial at the plant to test its suitability, 3d modelling was employed to ensure the actuators were in the correct orientation and to enable the design to be approved.
