In 2014 LK Valves & Controls took the decision to invest an initial £100k+ stock of Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) valves. The decision was taken to satisfy the demand for immediate repair requirements for the ever increasing amount of ships built in the Far East that now operate in and around UK waters.

LK Valves & Controls Ltd was formed in June 2005 between three friends and colleagues; Alan Forrester, Colin Evans and Alan Wareing, and this summer celebrates 15 years trading.

In 2012 LK introduced their dual plate check valve. Fully internally lined with an injection moulded vulcanized rubber, it features duo-discs in aluminum bronze with internal parts in Inconel and Monel. Materials giving it a high resistance to corrosion.

LK Valves & Controls are delighted to report that following a recent quality audit by Babcock at our premises in Liverpool, we have had our supplier status level increased from S3 to S2.

LK’s ductile iron globe and angle valves are now Type Approved by DNV-GL, BV, ABS and RINA. These valves are available from stock for immediate dispatch at our Liverpool warehouse in sizes up to and including DN150 in both SDSL and SDNR configuration. All valves have 3.1 certification from an LR approved foundry and are suitable for witness testing by any Classification Society for ‘ship side’ duty.

LK have launched a new metal seated gate valve, figure 611102. The new gate valve is multi-turn having a non-rising stem and indicator and is available in sizes DN40 to DN150 flanged and drilled PN16 and flanged PN10 in sizes above DN200.

LK Valves & Controls Ltd are pleased to announce they have recently been appointed a key partner for Watts Industries and a major stockist and distributor of their Socla Sylax range of WRAS approved butterfly valves and associated products.

LK quick closing valve systems were introduced in 2006. The now tried and tested quick closing valves and control stations are selected by ship yards worldwide and used on all types of vessels, rigs and platforms.
